Latitude Yachts has announced new construction milestones for LANIAKEA, its 88-foot carbon-fiber luxury power catamaran, advancing structural completion, composite manufacturing, and interior production at its Riga shipyard.

-- RIGA, Latvia – July 30, 2026 – Latitude Yachts has reported significant progress on LANIAKEA, its 88-foot carbon-fiber luxury power catamaran. The project has entered advanced composite production, interior fabrication, and systems preparation following completion of several structural and engineering milestones at the company’s shipyard in Riga, Latvia, during the latest construction phase.

The first hull has reached structural completion, with the internal bulkhead system installed to define accommodation areas, technical spaces, and the yacht's principal interior layout. According to Latitude Yachts, preparations are now underway for tank installation, onboard systems integration, and movement into the next production phase.

"Each completed stage represents measurable progress toward delivering a fully engineered carbon-fiber yacht," said a spokesperson for Latitude Yachts. "The project continues to move from design concepts into physical construction while maintaining the engineering standards established for the LANIAKEA platform."

Alongside hull construction, the shipyard has completed the superstructure master model, allowing production of final composite components to begin. The deck mold has also successfully passed vacuum testing and is prepared for infusion, representing another milestone in the manufacturing process.

Production has also expanded across several supporting components. Cockpit tooling and composite parts are progressing, while master models for the aft deck seating, shower bases, ceiling panels, and forward crash boxes have been completed. These components contribute to the yacht's integrated carbon-composite construction while supporting efficient in-house manufacturing.

Interior development has also entered a new phase. Designed by Chulhun Park, the yacht's living spaces are now being translated into production drawings and cabinetry within Latitude Yachts' carpentry department. The interior concept emphasizes open living areas, extensive glazing, and contemporary materials intended to strengthen the connection between onboard spaces and the surrounding environment.

LANIAKEA has been developed as a next-generation luxury power catamaran combining lightweight carbon-fiber construction with generous interior volume and shallow-water capability. The yacht's projected draft of approximately 0.61 meters (1.9 feet) is intended to improve access to coastal destinations, lagoons, and shallow anchorages that may be less accessible to larger monohull yachts. Flexible propulsion configurations are also planned to accommodate different cruising preferences.

The project combines exterior and interior design by Chulhun Park with naval architecture from Dixon Yacht Design and Latitude Yachts' composite manufacturing expertise.

Latitude Yachts confirmed that the first LANIAKEA hull remains available for reservation, allowing buyers to participate in the final specification of selected layouts, finishes, propulsion options, and onboard systems. Future production slots are also available with additional customization opportunities.
